Meet Your Instructors
Barbara Kuritz, R.N., B.S., LHCA, CCM
Barbara has extensive experience at two insurance-based healthcare delivery systems where she was responsible for hiring, building, and managing office and hospital-based Case Management teams.
She is a member of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA). She has served as a board member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of CMSA and as President for two years. Barbara co-authored Teleworking and Case Management for Case In Point, the official journal of Case Management.
As a learning consultant, Barbara assisted with and created case management training programs. Her commitment to advancing case management education makes her an invaluable resource for nurses exploring career options in this dynamic field.
Laura Ostrowsky, RN, CCM, MUP
Laura is the former Director of Case Management at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and the 2012 CMSA Case Manager of the Year. Her program has been nominated by Case in Point for excellence in Utilization Management, Discharge Planning, and Transitions in Care.
Laura has published articles on Case Management in CMSA Today, Professional Case Management, Case in Point, The Patient Flow Journal, and other periodicals. She regularly presents at national conferences including CMSA, the Patient Advocate Institute, and others.
Laura has served on the Board of Directors of the NYC Chapter of CMSA as well as two terms on the CMSA National board.
